Jamey Ragle

What Pastor's Are Saying

Letter From Aloma Baptist Church in Winter Park, Florida:

Dear Fellow Pastor:

During the first week of January I contacted my forgotten preacher friend, Jamey Ragle. Through the years Jamey had been a blessing to me, to my church, and to hosts of people who are now in the kingdom because of him.

Though I didn’t know much about his situation, I was instantly refreshed by my conversation with him. He told me about his restored marriage and his renewed spirit. As we conversed, I was led to ask Jamey if he would come speak to our church and share with us a message of God’s grace from his recent, painful journey.

On Sunday, January 18, Jamey Ragle came to our church and spoke in our morning services. The Spirit of God used his transparency and brokenness to break our hearts and to bring about a Spirit-led time of repentance and renewal in each service. Christian leaders who attend our church approached him afterwards, inquiring of his availability to share his message with their respective ministries.

That night, Jamey spoke to almost 400 men at our first-ever men’s conference. He spoke on the subject of“Facades” and how men hide behind masks and appear to be something we are not. We ended the night with a time of commitment, and the Spirit of God poured out His power, manifested through the tears and confessions of men getting right with God.

In short, it was as if God shouted from heaven all day long, “I’m not finished using Jamey Ragle!”

Someone told Jamey last year, “You will never again be what you once were.” And I think that person was right. Jamey is not what he once was. He is now more dependent on God, more aware of the hurts of others, and more aware than ever of how powerful the grace of God is. He’s a different Jamey Ragle, and a Jamey Ragle for whom I have a new love and appreciation.

I encourage you to consider inviting Jamey to your church. My motivation is not to help him drum up some speaking engagements, though he certainly needs such opportunities. My desire is that you and your church might experience a taste of what God did through Jamey here at Aloma on January 18. It is a day we won’t soon forget, and I doubt we’ll ever sing “Amazing Grace” the same way again!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Gratefully,
Anthony George
Pastor
